We ordered the big breakfast, eggs bene and a couple of mochas. The food and coffee were quite nice. Our only issue was the bacon - the texture and taste wasn’t to our liking but the rest was fine.
Food was absolutely delicious — we enjoyed our breakfast so much we completely forgot to take photos! The staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive throughout our visit. They even helped us take a lovely group photo, which was such a nice touch. The pricing was also very reasonable for the quality of food and service. Highly recommend!
I highly recommend Cafe on the Strand, having had a delicious breakfast there recently, while staying over night at City Suites accommodation, a short walk away in Cameroon Road. (I'd highly recommend them too.) I ordered a cup of tea while waiting for my yummy smashed avocado and poached egg on toast. The tea was literally the best cup of tea I've ever had out. I'm very fussy with tea, but the cafe earned their five stars before I was even served my breakfast! Staff were lovely and so was the sea view, which as a visitor to Tauranga I was pleased to see. Well done to the staff of Café on the Strand, I'll definitely visit you again whenever I'm in Tauranga!

Nice place to have a luke warm coffee with your loved ones. Very friendly staff. We will visit again.
