I had a wonderful trip to the Comvita store. Nikki provided a wonderful tour of the store, fully explaining all about the history of Comvita, Manuka honey and the various health benefits.
The store also sells products that are currently only available at their store which is a great present for home.
One should really also try the honey ice cream from the adjoining cafe. It’s so yummy!
In the end i left feeling knowledgeable and with plenty of honey for the family. 🐝🍯

We went here for morning tea purely out of curiosity. The cafe is well appointed, tidy and spacious. It adjoins a retail space filled with Comvita products where you can taste different honeys and view an enclosed live hive. Regular bee education tours start from here at a cost of $10. We had earl grey and English breakfast tea. Both came in infuser pots..nice touch. The earl grey was what I know as lady grey but was good none the less. Refreshing to be provided with a generous quantity of milk. I ordered the blue cheese and caramelized onion quiche as a take away. It came with a good salsa and a salad and was especially delicious for gluten free fare. This place was reasonably busy and is obviously on the tourist trail. Limited menu but very well done. I will bring visitors here. A great venue!

Not like a nice ice cream on a hot day. Nice selection of food. Great tasting coffee. Added bonus of being in the comvita premises and next door to their store. Buy your honey products then have something to eat.

Poor customer Service.
I went to the shop this week, my first time to purchase products from them & not a honey person, I spent quite a bit of time trying to decide what to buy. Staff were about, but didn't bother coming to see me. After approx 10 mins I gave up & took the cold tablets and $20 jar of honey to the counter. A lady was sitting behind the counter but had her head down into her phone, a couple of "ahems" but she never looked up, so I went to the cafe counter. I then got brought back to the shop counter by a staff member who gave a lousy excuse why the other lady never looked up from her phone, just at that time a cruise ship bus turned up and all staf leaped into action. Meanwhile this semi local, who possibly would come back to purchase more was ignored, the cruise ship passengers won't be back, so perhaps looking after local customers would be a good idea also. Unfortunately I won't buy again due to this service, its alot of money to spend on a small jar of honey, so some service to make sure I got one I liked would have been amazing.

We had a simply gorgeous visit and so enjoyed our chat to the tour guide. Lots to learn and be enthralled by. My, bees are wonderful creatures. Fabulous products too.
