Stopped in for brunch and a coffee. Service was lovely, all the staff were happy and welcoming. I had the chicken tacos which were so tasty. And a lovely coffee Edit: Ended up stuck in Tauranga so I came back for breakfast again. The staff are still lovely, and even recognized I had been a couple of days ago. French toast today which was yummy as. Such a welcoming environment that I have enjoyed very much
Lamb roll, (mince) meat dog food. No salad ( extra cost). Give tomato sauce rather than catchup. Service - was tokd salad cost extra. However was served when I was there 4 weeks ago. Manager was supposed to come & have a talk about the missing salad. Turned up & started clearing table without asking if we had finished. Mitre 10 cafe, here we cone next time.
Today was 9am Friday morning coffee time at Colombus Coffee Gate Pa Shopping Centre. Being 'a creature of habit', I invariably order the same thing.....and why wouldn't I because it's really good. As in really, really good. Large hot cappacinno and a piece of what is possibly the best carrot cake in Tauranga......spicy, fruity and full of seeds and nuts with a thin cream cheese icing....flavour and texture perfecto! Very surprised to read some indifferent reviews about the staff and service. Every time I go (which is regularily) the service is pleasant and friendly. Service with a smile - nice one. Definitely works for me. Go along and try. Highly recommended....Stu
Very expensive for the quality and quantity of food. Cost $78 for 2 coffees 2 breakfast. No butter on the toast. At that price that should be a minimum requirement. Overpriced very basic bacon and egg breakfast, in a very mediocre environment.
Ordered 2 tropical smoothies and 1 berry milkshake. As far as I was aware, smoothies were made with milk - our tropical ones were literally ice and frozen mango/Banana with no milk in them whatsoever and they didn't taste great. Definitely not worth $10 each. Also got a berry milkshake and it was not what I recall a milkshake being - milk and syrup whizzed up together. We got a berry smoothie frappe instead. Totally disappointed and won't be going back
