Gvi Tauranga Disappointing Experience, False Advertising, and Poor Service
I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with Gvi Tauranga and feel compelled to warn other potential customer's coming for servicing
Poor Coordination & Wasted Time: I specifically booked an appointment on 28/01/26 to ensure my car would be serviced promptly and efficiently also asking twice in how long it is take. Despite this, when I returned at the agreed time, the work was not done. No reasonable explanation or apology was offered. This lack of respect for a customer's scheduled time is unacceptable and reflects deep disorganization.
Terrible Customer Service: The staff was dismissive and unhelpful when I addressed the delay. There was no sense of urgency, accountability. The overall attitude conveyed that my time and business were not valued. When I asked for a simple quote for the service, I was told they could not provide one until the work was done. This is completely unreasonable and transparently tactic.
This dealership operates on misleading promises and fails to deliver even the most basic level of reliable service and respect. Booking an appointment meant nothing, and the customer care was non-existent. After the statement there is no cars available. I started to say to cancel to appointment and then got a car off the yard. After hour and half, came back to the dealership still parked there nothing done.

I have just purchased a Suzuki Swift from gvi.kiwi and was very impressed with the friendly and no pressure customer service from Mike. The sale went so smoothly, I was really grateful for the trade-in offered and the tow bar that was able to be added on my new car. When I came in to pick up the car, it was all clean and ready and Trevor talked me through the paperwork and the way the car operated. Very happy to recommend gvi Mount Maunganui to other customers.

A genuinely great bunch of people who really care about what they do. Hayley is friendly, approachable, and always willing to help, making the whole experience easy and pleasant. The team as a whole is down-to-earth, honest, and clearly takes pride in their work. A trustworthy business that I’d happily recommend for car sales and mechanical servicing.
