Stopped for brunch
Had the brunch stack and the lamb and mint pie.
Both were delicious.
Good portion sizes.
The pie was full of meat and the pastry top was flakey and crisp.
The brunch stack was flavourful with a perfectly cooked soft poached egg.
Only negative was the coffee on todays visit. Was very weak. The mocca tasted like a hot chocolate and the latte drinker did not finish his.

Coffee was good. Food was good. Though they must have had a dinner party and not washed up the plates from the night before as all the food arrived in bowls? Poached egg on toast- in a bowl! Pancakes with bacon, syrup and banna- in a bowl! Made cutting a bit difficult. The eggs were done to perfection, the toasted ciabatta was great, spinich- yum. Egg Benny sauce- store brought, overly vinegary and cold. Don't do Benny sauce if you can't make it properly. Pancakes were great. Service was friendly.

Really nice food, good staff and tends to be open when others aren't which is handy for last minute stops with kids. Were very accommodating with food allergies. Would highly recommend. Had a lovely pan fried snapper....epic!

Coming back from the beach, we were all hungry for a good food. Among the very few places open, we found this nice and cozy restaurant in Waihi. We order the hot salad, nice and well seasoned. The pizza was on special and the meat one was delicious, homemade and looking fantastic. My one was pasta with seafood with sweet chili, what a nice and happy combination, enjoyed until the very last. Great service and kind staff. Will be back soon.

Family run place. Great tasting and delicious meals, epic portions and mean cocktails! Friendly, fun and welcoming staff, you can tell they enjoy serving their community and their regulars are testimony to that. Aussies are big on their breakfasts and That Place's creamy mushrooms on toast, with bacon is the bomb!
